Huntress was created with two lovers in mind, inspired by the powerful connection between a wolf and a raven. Two creatures whose lives are intertwined in the wild.

Both are formidable in their own right. The wolf embodies instinct, courage and determination, while the raven represents intelligence, adaptability and resourcefulness. Although their strengths differ, their relationship in nature is remarkable. Ravens are known to seek food around wolf hunting grounds, finding opportunity in the presence of these powerful predators.

Through Huntress, Brittanie brings these two animals together as one, their forms merging to represent an unspoken bond. A connection built not on sameness, but on the strength found in their differences.

The phases of the moon weave through the composition, symbolising change, cycles and the passage of time. Deliberate geometric shapes introduce a sense of balance and structure, contrasting with the untamed nature of the animals themselves.

Through striking contrasts, deep shadows and expressive colour, Brittanie captures a feeling of strength that endures even through life’s darkest moments.
